Well, here it is, a test animation of “Odie” the Audi R8 Transformer I’ve been working on for months. I can’t wait to insert him into live action. I’m planning to make a short video clip with Odie in it and I want it to have that Michael Bay feel just like in the movies. Anyway, enjoy watching this video which is also a compilation of everything about Odie the Audi R8 Transformer.

Like I said, I’ll be working on the robot this week and here’s some progress on the head. Just click the images for a larger view. You can compare these 3D renders to the sketches I made a few weeks ago here.

Here’s a video presentation of the Audi R8 that I’m going to use for my Transformer. It’s colored red now, but the color is still subject to change but I’m really liking the red color right now. I haven’t modeled for the interiors or the engine parts since all of those objects will come along with the robot model that I will make for this Transformer. With the car body done, it’s time to chop it up and assemble in on the robot model that I will assemble this week.

So, the one day where in I went to school even if there were no classes due to a holiday, I decided to do some sketches. Based on the winner of the poll I made some time ago, I found it quite odd that the most awkward sketch of the Transformer actually won and looks good when done digitally.

I’ve got to admit. I really liked this movie. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do now, but this movie is just a pure adrenaline rush from start to finish. Sure, the story may not be your unbelievable complex twist and turns like Dark Knight or dare I say it, X-men Origins: Wolverine, but I really think it was enough to keep me intrigued about the war between good and evil among gigantic robots from space. I’ve been quite busy for a while practicing my 3D modeling skills. Most of all, I’m trying model from scratch.

I don’t usually do Mecha (or robots for those who prefer old school geek terms) contrary to what most people believe. Countdown to War was based on the RF Online Game so those weren’t my designs. This one below however is all mine.

Initially, I sketched a design for this mecha but the sketch disappeared out of nowhere so, I decided to model on the fly. So, I took out my model kits (Yes, I collect Mecha Model Kits) and used them as inspiration for this Mecha robot. If you’re asking what it’s for, it’s for a short film. Supposedly, it was for a Gundam 00 Parody but I decided to make my own story.  I made a wallpaper for you guys so feel free to download. The standard size of the image is 1440X900 so it’s best for Widescreen monitors. Other sizes are also available so, just scroll down below and enjoy.
