district9posterHuman beings are naturally selfish, greedy and deceitful when the need to survive comes. This is what District 9 seems to portray in such a unique style that feels so fresh and disturbing at the same time.

Dubbed as the Cloverfield rip-off or the “should-have-been-halo” film, District 9 is the most unique piece of cinema that I have seen for quite a long time. This makes the film the biggest surprise among all the summer blockbusters to come out this year. Directed by newcomer Neill Blomkamp and presented by Peter Jackson of LOTR fame, D-9 is a film that once again proves that you don’t need famous actors in order to produce a great film.

3230753295_fba2a243bfG.I. Joe is the true definition of what we call dumb fun. The movie consists of so many cliches that you could play “Name that Movie” during most scenes in the film. Not that I’m saying the movie is very bad or stupid, it’s just well, okay. It is bad but it isn’t as bad as you would imagine.

The movie starts with a flashback of around a generation ago wherein an arms dealer during the medieval era was sentenced to shame for selling weapons on both sides. primeI’ve got to admit. I really liked this movie. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do now, but this movie is just a pure adrenaline rush from start to finish. Sure, the story may not be your unbelievable complex twist and turns like Dark Knight or dare I say it, X-men Origins: Wolverine, but I really think it was enough to keep me intrigued about the war between good and evil among gigantic robots from space. terminatorsalvationposter_1Terminator Salvation is here but is there even salvation for this franchise?

One of the few films that sparked my interest in the visual effects industry was Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Just seeing that liquid metal get shot by a shotgun just left me wondering, “how did they do that?”. Also, that chase sequence with the Harley vs. the 10 Wheeler truck? That was a classic. James Cameron was a visual genius and a lot people knew that whatever James Cameron had in store for the next Terminator film was going to be spectacular.

Star Trek Poster

I’m not a “Trekkie”.

I slept through most Star Trek movies. In fact, I’m more of a Star Wars fan (mainly due to the Jedis) than a Star Trek fan. One time, I even called Star Trek a rip-off of Star Wars. I only watched Star Trek: Voyager because of Jeri Ryan.  I also thought the Star Trek PC game that came out that had rave reviews was also pretty boring.

Well, my website actually.

Finally, after months of conceptualization and development I have finally finished this website to be ready for viewing. In the blog post below, you’ll see the story of how this website came to life and the design obstacles it went through. Some sections like the “Stuff” section will be improved in the future as I go to create more templates for everyone.
