It’s Comic-con season and a lot of stuff is being announced like an abundance of surprises and most especially trailers. Now, since Iron Man 2 just finished shooting and probably won’t be showing a trailer at Comic-Con, Marvel has something else up their sleeve. It looks like Marvel is tapping into the Anime scene with various popular characters like Iron Man and Wolverine. Watch the trailers and see if they fancy your geekbone.
Wolverine Anime
Iron Man Trailer
Personally, I prefer the Iron Man trailer. Not just because I’m a huge Iron Man fan, but because the Anime look has always worked well anything mechanical or armor related. Giving Wolverine the whole Samurai treatment felt off even if Wolverine did spend a lot of time wielding a sword in Japan. The huge turn-off in the Wolverine Anime was the appearance of Mystical creatures. Also, Wolverine’s attire just looks too silly in my opinion. It felt more like an Anime that was ripping off the whole Wolverine look. If Marvel is going with this, the Wolverine Anime seems disappointing since Anime has always treated violence artistically. The Wolverine Anime is turning out to be just a hack and slash Anime which are the types that could get boring if it wasn’t supported by a great story.

Mobile Suit Gundam has been around for 30 years and still it’s a household name in Japan. What started out as an Anime has become one of Japan’s best selling franchises when it comes to action figures and model kits. Last March, its latest series called “Gundam 00″ ended and it ended very well compared to most Animes and even other Gundam series.
Macross has been one of the biggest Anime franchises and so far, the last time I saw a Macross related Anime was when I was a kid. In fact, that was the first I felt a fever. I didn’t get sick because it was bad (I actually watch anything on TV back then), I just got sick of overwatching, or so I was told.
Well, it looks like this project has been greenlit — by me. I spent too much time doing this teaser trailer that I’ll be damned if I don’t turn it into a full fledged project.
The project was initially planned to be a Gundam 00 parody but I slowly veered it away from becoming one. I already thought of a different story so, I guess it’s going to be less of that “Setsuna prelude” that was originally planned. The title of this short project is based on the name of the Mecha’s name, AS001-HOPE.
What inspired me to do this project is of course my overwatching of Gundam series from Universal Century to the Anno Domini Era. But aside from that, I have been feeling this aura of hopelessness from people around me and a short film about a young man losing and finding hope is the best story I could come up with.
The project will be a integration of both CGI and Live Action footage. Anyway, here’s the trailer below

I’ve been quite busy for a while practicing my 3D modeling skills. Most of all, I’m trying model from scratch.
I don’t usually do Mecha (or robots for those who prefer old school geek terms) contrary to what most people believe. Countdown to War was based on the RF Online Game so those weren’t my designs. This one below however is all mine.
Initially, I sketched a design for this mecha but the sketch disappeared out of nowhere so, I decided to model on the fly. So, I took out my model kits (Yes, I collect Mecha Model Kits) and used them as inspiration for this Mecha robot. If you’re asking what it’s for, it’s for a short film. Supposedly, it was for a Gundam 00 Parody but I decided to make my own story. I made a wallpaper for you guys so feel free to download. The standard size of the image is 1440X900 so it’s best for Widescreen monitors. Other sizes are also available so, just scroll down below and enjoy.
