After finishing my transformer sketches, it’s time to go back and model the Audi R8 for my Transformer. So, here is my latest progress on the Audi R8. As of now, there’s no interiors and lights right as of the moment which explains how empty the insides of the car look. The wheels were modeled in detail and not using any form of bump mapping. Hopefully by next week, the car is done and I’ll be focusing on assembling the Transformer with car parts.
So, the one day where in I went to school even if there were no classes due to a holiday, I decided to do some sketches. Based on the winner of the poll I made some time ago, I found it quite odd that the most awkward sketch of the Transformer actually won and looks good when done digitally.
Below is a digital rendition of the Transformer head that won the poll.
The Tomb Raider series has been in deep turmoil the past few years. Critics have been saying that every Lara Croft game is the same thing all over again except for well, different places and different enemies. Tomb Raider could be in fact be a franchise that is slowly dying or maybe it was only a hit because of Lara Croft’s sex appeal. In fact, it’s been an inside joke amongst people that the only reason people play Tomb Raider is to find a good angle to see a good view of the tomb raider’s assets.
Just a quick post. Here are some cool posters that were revealed during Comic-con season. I have no idea about much of them but they look really interesting – especially Megan Fox’s ridiculous waistline.

This is how you sell a comic book film. Megan Fox’s ridiculous waistline.

Most people love to get their hands on a new high-tech Digital SLR. They want to take pictures of great quality and probably some just want to look like a professional Photographer. I am not most people. While people gawk and salivate at the newest model of Nikon or Canon DSLR’s, I seem to pick up my jaw everytime I see one of those professional videocameras in front of me or being used during productions. The sad thing though is these cameras are just extremely expensive for my budget and also I won’t be able to use it all the time like for example shooting a video of your dog trying to catch a mosquito in broad daylight. It’s Comic-con season and a lot of stuff is being announced like an abundance of surprises and most especially trailers. Now, since Iron Man 2 just finished shooting and probably won’t be showing a trailer at Comic-Con, Marvel has something else up their sleeve. It looks like Marvel is tapping into the Anime scene with various popular characters like Iron Man and Wolverine. Watch the trailers and see if they fancy your geekbone.
Wolverine Anime
Iron Man Trailer
Personally, I prefer the Iron Man trailer. Not just because I’m a huge Iron Man fan, but because the Anime look has always worked well anything mechanical or armor related. Giving Wolverine the whole Samurai treatment felt off even if Wolverine did spend a lot of time wielding a sword in Japan. The huge turn-off in the Wolverine Anime was the appearance of Mystical creatures. Also, Wolverine’s attire just looks too silly in my opinion. It felt more like an Anime that was ripping off the whole Wolverine look. If Marvel is going with this, the Wolverine Anime seems disappointing since Anime has always treated violence artistically. The Wolverine Anime is turning out to be just a hack and slash Anime which are the types that could get boring if it wasn’t supported by a great story.
