Well, it looks like this project has been greenlit — by me. I spent too much time doing this teaser trailer that I’ll be damned if I don’t turn it into a full fledged project.

The project was initially planned to be a Gundam 00 parody but I slowly veered it away from becoming one. I already thought of a different story so, I guess it’s going to be less of that “Setsuna prelude” that was  originally planned.  The title of this short project is based on the name of the Mecha’s name, AS001-HOPE.

What inspired me to do this project is of course my overwatching of Gundam series from Universal Century to the Anno Domini Era. But aside from that, I have been feeling this aura of hopelessness from people around me and a short film about a young man losing and finding hope is the best story I could come up with.

The project will be a integration of both CGI and Live Action footage. Anyway, here’s the trailer below

For a higher resolution for the project click here . Make sure to watch it in high quality for better viewing.

I’ve been quite busy for a while practicing my 3D modeling skills. Most of all, I’m trying model from scratch.

I don’t usually do Mecha (or robots for those who prefer old school geek terms) contrary to what most people believe. Countdown to War was based on the RF Online Game so those weren’t my designs. This one below however is all mine.

Initially, I sketched a design for this mecha but the sketch disappeared out of nowhere so, I decided to model on the fly. So, I took out my model kits (Yes, I collect Mecha Model Kits) and used them as inspiration for this Mecha robot. If you’re asking what it’s for, it’s for a short film. Supposedly, it was for a Gundam 00 Parody but I decided to make my own story.  I made a wallpaper for you guys so feel free to download. The standard size of the image is 1440X900 so it’s best for Widescreen monitors. Other sizes are also available so, just scroll down below and enjoy. :)

I wasn’t expecting this.

I wasn’t expecting to be so disappointed with a movie that’s about one of my favorite comic book characters of all time, Wolverine.

I’ve been a fan of Logan since I was around 10 years old. I really liked his personality of being a mentor (to Jubilee), a protector, and a being of great rage. Yet, all of these are because of his one weakness. His amnesia, the loss of his memory rendered him to become so bitter and lonely. He needed something to occupy his mind and that’s why he fights. He fights to remember. He fights to find out why he is who he is.

So, for those following me at twitter, I guess you’ve noticed my twits about 3D Tracking. I’ve been looking for ways to perfect this process and I’m having a blast playing around with it. Here’s an example of what I’ve been expermenting with the whole weekend.

The sound is the actual sound and that’s my brother’s desktop table. Those are his action figures beside the 3D Robot that I animated. So far, there are few hitches here and there but hopefully I get to fix that. But I’m overjoyed to see that the movement angle of the 3D Robot matches that of the video. Oh, and that irritating popping sound is from my brother’s laptop. It’s the sound that I think skype makes when you get a new message.

Anyway, just a little update. I’ve posted the tutorial for “Sci-fi Text” which can be found here.

Here’s a sneak peak of what this tutorial has to offer:

Anyway, that’s all for now, I think I need to rest for a bit. A few new tutorials coming next week as I’ll be going into experimental week this week. If my experiments succeed, I’ll be uploading some tutorials. See you in a while.

And by the way, X-Men: Wolverine Origins was a mess of a movie. I’d stay away from it if you’re looking for a good movie to watch.

  • Added a background for the site. A lot of people were complaining that it was just red. It’s still red, but now I added some design that still retains the nature vs. technology theme for the site.
  • Added the Tutorial Section under “STUFF”. There’s only one tutorial so far, but surely there’s more to come. If you want to request some tutorials just leave a message here.
  • Here’s a look at what the new tutorial has to offer.
  • Added a twitter widget, so you can see that under my RSS icon on the sidebar. If you want to follow me on twitter, here it is.
  • Oh, and if you’re kind enough to share some of my content to other websites, I also added the “Sociable” plug in which you can find below each post or each page. It’s like the one below this sentence.
